Commercial Quad Receptacle Installation
Four-outlet 120V receptacles installed for workstations, point-of-sale counters, A/V racks and equipment rooms in Long Island businesses.

Daisy-chained power strips under desks are one of the most common things we see on commercial walkthroughs in Nassau and Suffolk County. A quad receptacle replaces that tangle with four 120V outlets in a single box, fed by a circuit sized for what actually plugs in. No Shorts Electric Inc has been wiring receptacles for Long Island offices, stores and buildings since 1984. Every commercial installation is priced up front, performed by licensed electricians and covered by our 2-year workmanship warranty.
What a commercial quad receptacle installation includes
A quad is two duplex receptacles mounted together in a two-gang box, giving you four outlets at one location. Our installation covers the full job: the box, the devices, the cover plate, the branch wiring back to the panel or an appropriate junction point, and connection to a properly protected circuit. We confirm the circuit can carry the combined load, label the breaker, and test every outlet for correct polarity and ground before we leave. Where the location calls for it, we use commercial-grade or tamper-resistant devices and ground-fault protection.
Where businesses put quad receptacles
Four outlets in one spot solves a specific problem: too many devices in a small footprint. Typical requests from our commercial customers include:
- Open-plan workstations and hot desks with monitors, docking stations and chargers
- Point-of-sale counters in retail stores and restaurants
- A/V racks, network closets and small server areas
- Reception desks, nurse stations and exam rooms in medical and professional suites
- Break rooms and copy areas in offices
- Workbenches and packing stations in warehouses and light industrial space
- Laundry rooms, lobbies and shared spaces in multi-family buildings and HOA common areas
If you are planning a fit-out or reconfiguring a floor, adding quads at the design stage is far simpler than retrofitting after furniture is in place.
How we install with minimal disruption
Commercial work has to fit around your hours, your tenants and your staff. Before we start, we walk the space with you, confirm each location and agree on the circuit plan. Where possible we pull new wiring through existing walls, ceilings or surface raceway rather than opening finished surfaces. Power to the affected circuit is shut off only for the time it takes to make the connection, and we schedule around your busiest hours or work after close when a shutdown would interrupt operations. We keep the work area contained and clean it before handing it back.
Code, permits and safety
Receptacle work in commercial occupancies has to meet the electrical code and the requirements of the local municipality. We size conductors and overcurrent protection to the load, provide ground-fault protection where the code requires it, and avoid adding to circuits that already serve other equipment near capacity. When the scope requires a permit or inspection, No Shorts Electric files the paperwork and meets the inspector; you do not need to manage that process. We hold Nassau County electrical contractor licenses 203146, 203147 and 1147253 and carry full insurance.
Why Long Island businesses choose No Shorts Electric
We are a family-run contractor, not a franchise, and the people who quote the work are the people accountable for it. Property managers and business owners work with us because we show up when scheduled, keep pricing transparent and stand behind every installation for two years. After more than 40 years in Nassau and Suffolk County we know the local inspectors, the local building stock and the problems that come with older commercial wiring.
